Giorgi Manoshvili, a Georgian bass, graduated from the Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatory in Tbilisi, where he specialized in Traditional and Ecclesiastical Music.

After some performances in prestigious international venues, Manoshvili made his Italian debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro performing the role of Lord Sidney in Il viaggio a Reims. He was subsequently invited back to appear in the tribute to Pier Luigi Pizzi Tra Rondo e Tournedos, Rossinimania, and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle under the baton of Michele Mariotti.

He then sang Colline in La bohème in a television production directed by Mario Martone for Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, returned to the ROF in Pesaro, portrayed Caliban in Halévy’s The Tempest at Wexford Festival Opera.

In this season: I puritani at Teatro alla Scala, Aida at Teatro Liceu in Barcelona, La Bohème at Bayerische Staatsoper, Il campo de' Crociati with OperaRara in London, Boris Godunov at Teatro Regio in Parma and Lucrezia Borgia at Opéra de Lyon.
