Stefan Astakhov, a German baritone born in Russia, entered the world of music as the son of

a family deeply immersed in the musical arts. With an opera singer father and a conductor

mother, his early exposure to the world of music shaped his path. His musical journey

commenced with violin and singing. During his studies under the tutelage of Bogdan Makal

at the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music Stefan Astakhov, at the age of 19, undertook his

inaugural major role as Figaro in Mo zart's Le nozze di Figaro at the Wroclaw Opera in

Poland. Stefan Astakhov's talent has been acknowledged through numerous competitions:

In 2018, he clinched victory at the Ton & Erklärung Competition, with KS Brigitte

Fassbaender chairing the jury. He also made a notable appearance as a finalist and recipient

of the Young Talent Prize at the 52nd International 's Hertogenbosch Competition, led by

Dame Kiri Te Kanawa as the jury chairwoman. His most notable achievements include

securing the 2nd prize and the "Prize for the best Art Song Interpretation" at the Queen

Sonja Music Competition in Oslo, Norway, in 2019. Astakhov's crowning achievement was

winning the 1st prize at the globally acclaimed Mirjam Helin Competition in Helsinki in the

same year. In 2022, Stefan took part in the Accademia Rossiniana and performed the roles of

Barone di Trombonok and Don Alvaro in the Rossini Opera Festival’s academy production

of Il viaggio a Reims . From 2020 to 2022, Stefan Astakhov was a member of the opera studio

of the Vienna State Opera, and since September 2022, already as a member of the ensemble

his roles include: Silvio Pagliacci ), Schaunard La bohème ), Figaro Il barbiere di Siviglia ),

Malatesta Don Pasquale ), Belcore L'elisir d'amore ) and Valentin Faust ). He also appeared

as Sharpless in Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos and as Riccardo in I

puritani at the Teatro Principal De Maó captivating audiences on internati onal stages.
